What is technology? Technology does not have a definition. It is just a term like getting water through a well was a technology, then came the hand pump and now submersible pumps are being used to get water. This is called the growth of technology. In the last 10 -15 years technology has grown leaps and bounds. It has changed the life of all the persons including students, house wives, professional and businessman etc.

Due to technology there has been considerable progress in the study pattern of the students. Computers, laptops and tablets have given students the much needed help. Through the internet the students can search for knowledge regarding their subjects. Because the laptop is wireless they can take it anywhere likes the canteen, coffee shop, lecture room etc.
Because of the laptop students need not carry their books everywhere. They can use the laptop to write their matter as well as study their books anywhere. With the advent of new gadgets like mobile, laptop, tablet etc. communication and sharing of information has become very fast. These developments in technology have changed the way students are studying now.
TECHNOLOGY FOR BUSINESS
With the advent of technology the way business is being done has totally changed. Communication has become faster through e-mails. Financial transactions through net banking have changed the way business is being done. Accounting and ERP software have made management of a business much easier. Time taken for jobs has reduced considerably and productivity increased manifold.
TECHNOLOGY IN HOMES
Like other areas technology has also changed the life of a housewife. For example – the hard work needed to wash clothes has reduced considerably with the advent of automatic washing machines. In the kitchen also hot plates and microwaves have reduced the time required to cook food. Dish washers have made washing of utensils much easier. All this has given the house wife free time for herself wherein she can follow her hobbies apart from managing the house. Television has given the house wife awareness and allowed her to keep tab with the times.

If we see the last 10 – 15 years we come to know how much technology has grown or we can also say that technology has totally changed our life. Mobile, computer, laptop and tablets have made our life easier due to technology. In all fields everybody now needs the help of these gadgets to grow in their respective field. All these gadgets have become a necessity.
A businessman needs the help of technology to grow further. The role of many employees is fulfilled by the use of computer. Data management has become very easy with the help of technology. Now we can book rail and air tickets through the internet while sitting at our home or office. Today through the internet if you wish to visit some place you can get all the information about it and also book the hotel of your choice.
These facilities have further been increased with the help of gadgets like iPhone and iPad which can be kept in the pocket for use anywhere. With the rapid growth in technology seeing no ends we can expect newer advancements which may change our life totally in times to come.
